Our Young Readers

The young minds of Junior Wing everyday get an opportunity to enhance their reading skill during Reading Time. It has been observed that wide independent reading significantly influences vocabulary development and reading comprehension amongst the students. So students are given time by the teachers everyday to read story books from their Book Hive (class library) which the students have created by bringing a story book of their own choice. They also keep an updated list of the books they have already read and the book they are currently reading. The basic aim of this practice is to develop fluent readers by providing time during the school day for students to select a book and read quietly. Sharing here are few glimpses of our reading sessions.
